2022 토랜스제일장로교회 신학생 장학금 안내 

"교회다운 교회, 성도다운 성도"들의 공동체를 꿈꾸는 토랜스제일장로교회가

영어권 및 한어권 (이민교회) 사역을 준비하는 신학생들을 위해 장학금을 제공합니다.

장학금 신청 대상자
- 미국 내에서 신학 공부 중인 대학원생으로서 영어/한국어권 사역(Ministry or Teaching)을 준비하며 현재 지역 교회에서 성실히 신앙생활하고 있는 자

* 각 수혜자에게는 $2,500의 장학금이 수여되며 모든 장학금은 학교에 직접 지급됩니다.

* 수혜자는 장학금을 받은 학기에 계속 출석해야 하며 학기당 평균 학점 3.0 이상을 유지해야 합니다.

* 목회학 석사(M. Div.)과정, M.A in Christian Education, Th. M in Theology 및 박사(Ph. D/D.Min.)과정 입학 예정자나 재학중인 학생 

지원자격
1. 미국내 합법적인 거주 중인 한국인(교포 및 유학생 포함)

2. 지역 교회에서 성실히 신앙생활 하는 자

3. ATS(Association of theological Schools) 정회원 신학교에서 풀타임 또는 파트타임으로 등록 되어있는 신학생

4. 마감일까지 모든 서류를 작성하여 제출해야 합니다.

5. 최소 평점 3.0이상(4.0 만점 기준)

지원서류
1. 장학금 지원 서류(Application) 

2. 에세이 (2-3 pages)

- 개인 소명 고백서(1 page)

- “이 시대의 바쁘고 분주한 세상 문화 속에서 한인 이민교회가 미국내 지역 사회에서 어떻게 교류해야하며 사람들을 하나님께로 인도할수 있습니까?” (2-3 pages)

3. 추천서 2 인 (Academic 추천서와 Pastoral 추천서 각 1 인 요) 2022 에 발행된 것

4. 재정 상황 설명(Statement) 및 증명 서류 

(예: 은행 statement, Income tax 1040 form copy, loan statement, etc. 제출 시 SSN 나 계좌 정보는 가려 주십시오.) 

5. 가장최근학교의공식성적증명서
6. 입학 혹은 재학 확인서 (2022 년 가을에 입학하는 학생의 경우)

2022 Torrance First Presbyterian Church Seminarian Scholarships 

Torrance First Presbyterian Church strives toward our vision: ‘Real Church, True Christians,’ and we are offering scholarships, preferably for 1.5 or 2nd Generation Korean-American seminarians who are preparing for ministries. 

Scholarship Beneficiaries

A Korean descendant of legal resident of the US, preferably, 1.5 or 2nd Generation Korean- American Seminarians who are enrolled in their graduate theological program preparing for future English/Korean ministries.  

* Each recipient will be awarded $2,500, to be paid directly to the school. The recipient must continue to attend classes and maintain no lower than a 3.0 grade-point average per semester (or equivalent). 

* Students who are enrolled in an M.Div, M.A in Christian Education, Th. M., Ph. D in Theology, D.Min or equivalent program, and currently serving in pastoral ministry at a local church. 

Eligibility 

1. Legal resident of the U.S & a Korean descendant

2. Active member of a Christian church 

3. Must be a candidate/enrolled either full-time or part-time at an ATS (Association of Theological Schools) accredited educational institution in the US

4. Must complete and submit ALL required documents by the due date 

5. Must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA out of a 4.0 scale.

Requirements 

1.Application
2. Essay (2-3 pages) Topic - 

- Your personal calling (1 page)

- “How can Korean American churches interact with our community, connecting people to concretely encounter God in a fast moving, busy, secular culture?” (2-3 pages)

3. Letters of recommendations (one academic and one pastoral) dating 2022 with contact number
- Must submit a digital copy 

4. Financial statement and proof of financial need such as bank statement, Income tax 1040 form copy, loan statement, etc. Please hide your account number and SSN. 

5. Official transcript from the most recent school - Must submit a digital copy 

6. Proof of Admission/enrollment (for those starting a program in Fall 2022)
