Youth Pastor Position

 

Contra Costa United Methodist Church is located in the Bay Area of Northern California. We are seeking a passionate, Christ-centered, and spiritually mature individual to serve as our Youth Pastor (or Youth Directer) and lead the next generation in their faith journey.

 

Position

• Part-time
• Youth Ministry (Middle School & High School)

Qualifications:

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a vibrant personal faith.
• A heart for discipling and mentoring youth.
• Graduate of an accredited seminary or currently enrolled in a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or equivalent theological degree program.
• Previous experience in youth ministry is preferred.
• Able to preach and teach God's Word in English. Korean language ability is helpful but not required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly youth worship services and Bible studies.
• Develop and oversee youth discipleship and outreach programs.
• Build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and ministry leaders.
• Collaborate with the pastoral staff and church leadership in fulfilling the church's mission.

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
