Kindergarten Pastor - Part Time

Hours: 20–25 hours per week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Ministry Size: Approximately 15–20 children and 4 volunteer teachers

Reports to: Director of Education Pastor

About the Position

LACPC is seeking a warm, creative, and dependable Kindergarten Pastor who loves Jesus and has a heart for helping young children know God and grow in faith. This pastor will lead the Kindergarten Department through age-appropriate biblical preaching and teaching, care for children and families, and support for volunteer teachers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver weekly biblical messages and lead engaging, age-appropriate worship experiences.

Plan curriculum and provide volunteer teachers with lesson materials and teaching support.

Build relationships with children and families, welcome newcomers, and partner with parents to support children’s faith development and individual needs.

Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage volunteer teachers.

Maintain a safe, welcoming ministry environment and ensure compliance with LACPC’s child-safety policies.

Lead the Kindergarten Department’s participation in Easter Celebration, VBS, Family Fall Fest, and Christmas Performance.

Communicate regularly with parents and volunteers about lessons, schedules, and events.

Collaborate with other Children’s Ministry pastors, attend scheduled Education Department meetings, and submit monthly ministry reports.

Carry out other ministry-related responsibilities assigned by LACPC leadership.

Qualifications

A growing Christian faith and commitment to LACPC’s beliefs and mission.

Experience working with young children and a patient, caring approach.

Ability to teach biblical truths in engaging, age-appropriate ways.

Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.

Initiative, creativity, and openness to feedback.

Ability to communicate in Korean is a plus.

Current seminary enrollment or a completed seminary degree is preferred but not required.
