Associate Pastor of English Ministry 

Part-Time | Praise & Worship / Young Adult Ministry

Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time Associate Pastor of English Ministry to serve primarily in the areas of Praise & Worship and Young Adult Ministry.

This position will serve under the supervision of the Lead English Ministry Pastor and work closely with the Lead Pastor in carrying out the overall vision, direction, and ministry priorities of the English Ministry.

Primary Responsibilities

•   Serve under the supervision of the Lead English Ministry Pastor and coordinate closely with the Lead Pastor in planning and carrying out the overall ministry direction of the English Ministry.

•   Lead and provide spiritual direction for the English Ministry Praise & Worship Team.

•   Coordinate Sunday worship preparation in consultation with the Lead English Ministry Pastor and develop worship team members and leaders.

•   Provide pastoral leadership, discipleship, and care for the Young Adult Ministry.

•   Build meaningful relationships with young adults and encourage their participation in worship, fellowship, discipleship, and the broader life of the church.

•   Help coordinate Bible studies, fellowship gatherings, retreats, and other Young Adult Ministry activities.

•   Identify, mentor, and develop emerging leaders within the Praise & Worship and Young Adult Ministries.

•   Support other English Ministry programs, worship services, and ministry activities as directed by the Lead English Ministry Pastor.

Qualifications

•   A committed and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

•   A clear calling and heart for pastoral ministry.

•   A collaborative ministry approach and willingness to serve under the supervision and leadership of the Lead English Ministry Pastor.

•   Experience or demonstrated ability in praise and worship ministry.

•   A heart for young adult discipleship and community building.

•   Strong relational, communication, and organizational skills.

•   Seminary education, current seminary enrollment, or equivalent ministry training preferred.

•   Previous church ministry experience preferred.

•   Fluency in English required; Korean language ability is helpful but not required.

Reports To: Lead English Ministry Pastor

Supervision: This position serves under the direct supervision of the Lead English Ministry Pastor.

Location: Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles

Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
