Kindergarten Pastor - Part Time

Hours: 20–25 hours per week
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Ministry Size: Approximately 15–20 children and 4 volunteer teachers
Reports to: Director of Education Pastor

About the Position

LACPC is seeking a warm, creative, and dependable Kindergarten Pastor who loves Jesus and has a heart for helping young children know God and grow in faith. This pastor will lead the Kindergarten Department through age-appropriate biblical preaching and teaching, care for children and families, and support for volunteer teachers.

Responsibilities

·       Prepare and deliver weekly biblical messages and lead engaging, age-appropriate worship experiences.

·       Plan curriculum and provide volunteer teachers with lesson materials and teaching support.

·       Build relationships with children and families, welcome newcomers, and partner with parents to support children’s faith development and individual needs.

·       Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage volunteer teachers.

·       Maintain a safe, welcoming ministry environment and ensure compliance with LACPC’s child-safety policies.

·       Lead the Kindergarten Department’s participation in Easter Celebration, VBS, Family Fall Fest, and Christmas Performance.

·       Communicate regularly with parents and volunteers about lessons, schedules, and events.

·       Collaborate with other Children’s Ministry pastors, attend scheduled Education Department meetings, and submit monthly ministry reports.

·       Carry out other ministry-related responsibilities assigned by LACPC leadership.

Qualifications

·       A growing Christian faith and commitment to LACPC’s beliefs and mission.

·       Experience working with young children and a patient, caring approach.

·       Ability to teach biblical truths in engaging, age-appropriate ways.

·       Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.

·       Initiative, creativity, and openness to feedback.

·       Ability to communicate in Korean is a plus.

·       Current seminary enrollment or a completed seminary degree is preferred but not required.
