The Church of Bethlehem (Mt. Prospect, IL) greets you in Christ. We are a Korean immigrant church in the Chicago area, a community longing to see the gospel of Christ blossom and bear fruit in the particular soil of an immigrant church. We are pursuing an interdependent model between KM and EM, and education department plays a crucial role in uniting two congregations. We are looking for a youth pastor who will build up the next generation with the gospel together with us. Position

- A part-time pastor for the Youth Group (grades 6-12)

Qualifications

- A clear sense of calling and a passion to nurture the next generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ

- Ordained pastors, ministers, and current M.Div. students or graduates of an accredited seminary are all welcome

- In agreement with Reformed theology and the Presbyterian tradition

- Able to preach and communicate in English (fluency in Korean, of course, is always appreciated!)

- Legal to work in the U.S.

- Preference for those who can serve humbly and long term

Job Description

- Sunday youth ministry: our combined EM and Youth worship, and leading youth group gatherings

- Leading the Friday night meeting

- Planning and running youth events such as summer retreats, VBS, mission trips, and lock-ins

- Serving the education department in close cooperation with both KM and EM ministers

Stipend

- Part-time; to be determined through mutual conversation
