About Our Church
We are a warm, welcoming Korean-American congregation of approximately 40 active members located in Arlington, Virginia. While our roots are Korean, our heart is multigenerational — and we are actively investing in English-speaking ministry for our youth and young adults. This role is conducted entirely in English, and no Korean language ability is required. If you have a passion for the next generation and are looking for a place to grow in ministry, we'd love to meet you.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time NextGen Ministries Director to lead and shepherd our youth (middle/high school) and young adults. We currently serve approximately 5 youth and 4 young adults — a small but growing group that offers a meaningful, relational ministry context. This is an excellent opportunity for a seminary student, recent graduate, or someone with a heart for next-generation ministry to gain hands-on experience in a supportive church community.
Responsibilities
Weekly
Plan, lead, and preach at the weekly Youth worship service
Monthly
Lead worship (English praise) at our monthly all-congregation English service (children, youth, young adults, and adults worshipping together)
Lead worship at our monthly Friday evening Prayer & Praise gathering for youth, young adults, and parents (first Friday of each month)
Quarterly
Host a Parent-Teacher fellowship (PTF) meeting with youth parents every three months
Provide occasional pastoral counseling for youth and their families as needed
Twice a Year
Plan and lead a 4-week Bible study series for youth — once during Lent (leading up to Easter) and once in the fall (leading up to Thanksgiving)
Annually / Seasonal
Plan, coordinate, and lead special youth and young adult events, including summer or winter retreat, approximately four outings per year (e.g., ski trip), and occasional mission trips (as opportunities and church plans allow)
Prepare and lead youth participation in seasonal celebration services (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
Ongoing
Collaborate with and support whole-church events and ministries as needed
Qualifications
A genuine calling and passion for youth and young adult ministry
Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a seminary or Bible college preferred
Prior ministry experience with youth or young adults preferred
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
