SUMMARY:

Johns Creek Korean Church (JCKC) fully understands the changing landscape of the Korean American Immigrant Church. We seek a full-time or part-time partnering pastor to shepherd an existing body of adult English-speaking members to accommodate and serve the growing number of Second and Third-generation Korean American adults in the growing Atlanta area.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Enrolled in or Graduated from Seminary (M.Div. Degree)

· Ordained pastor or undergoing process of ordination

· Green card or citizenship holder

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Resume

· Personal Faith Testimony

· Copy of seminary graduation certificate

· Copy of ordination certificate or denomination certificate

· 1 Recommendation (Current or previous head pastor)

· 1 Copy or link of video recorded sermon

· High proficiency in English, conversational Korean

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work collaboratively with the worship team and deliver gospel-centered preaching every Sunday

· Provide spiritual leadership to members of the church

· Curriculum development and implementation

· Oversee English Ministry (Adults) budget

· Hire/firing staff of English Ministry (Adults)

· Train elders within the English Ministry (Adults)

· Has a personal relationship and love for Jesus

· Must be driven by a sincere love for Christ and a selfless love for others

· Steward of God’s Word and a Faithful worker for God

· Spiritually mature and possess the gift and love of teaching and sharing God’s word

· Live by Integrity and demonstrate responsibility

· Authentic, honest awareness of your heart and personal brokenness

· Gentle in spirit and accountable

· Humble, passionate, and not arrogant

· Must be devoted to his wife; one woman with the pastor’s marriage illustrating Christ’s Love for His church as in Ephesians 5:25

· Great leadership skills including keen organization, direction, and time management.

· Clear vision and be action-oriented and be able to effectively delegate

· Gifted, clear communicator with high proficiency in English, conversational Korean is preferred

· Discernment in recognizing people’s abilities, strengths, spiritual gifts to help teach, counsel, mature and appropriately use those spiritual gifts to better God’s purpose and enrich our ministry.

· Loving, caring and compassionate for God’s people and a desire to connect and build relations with church members

· Servant’s heart for un-churched people

· Willingness to work under the umbrella of an established KM church and although separate ministries, willingness to unite and work together for both KM and English Ministry groups to coexist and grow under one roof.

COMPENSATION:

· Starting $60,000/year

· One time appreciation / relocation bonus of $5,000
