Job Overview

Dallas Central Methodist Church (DCMC) was founded in 1981 with aim to be like the early church where Jesus is shared, and Holy Spirit works through our missions, mentoring, worship, service, and community outreach. We are part of the Global Methodist Church, located in Irving, TX, and are pre-dominantly Korean-speaking congregation.

We are currently seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to lead our growing English-speaking congregation (EM), which consists of college students, young single adults, and married couples with families (~60 total adults). The EM pastor will report to the Senior Pastor and will partner and collaborate with other pastoral staff and lay leaders to align on vision and daily operations of English Ministry to shepherd, mature, and grow its members.

Responsibilities

• Preach the Word and preside over Sunday worship services

• Oversee operations of the English ministry, including administrative tasks, visiting house churches, and leading Bible Studies

•  Shepherd and train lay leaders on how to make disciples biblically and actively discipling congregants

• Provide pastoral care for the congregation

•  Attend weekly pastoral staff meetings and other regular church meetings

• Be able to assist other pastoral staff members and other Executive staff members with church-wide ministries

Basic Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited theological institution with Master of Divinity or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of pastoral ministry experience
  Ordained by an evangelical denomination or evangelical church order

• Be above reproach and display Christ-like character (Titus 1:6-9; 1 Tim. 3:2-7)

• Must be fluent in English (oral and written)

• Must be willing to relocate to the metro Dallas-Fort Worth areas

• Must agree with the church’s statement of faith

• Must be legally qualified to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of pastoral ministry experience, with 2+ years as EM pastor

• Demonstrates the importance of expository and Gospel-centered preaching from the pulpit

• Conversational fluency in Korean

• Ministry experience / understanding of Methodist and/or Wesleyan beliefs and core values

• Willingness to affiliate with the Global Methodist Church upon hire

• Have strong organizational and administrative skills as well as interpersonal skills

• Full time salary and benefits including health insurance subsidy ($65K-70K, based on fit and experience)
