Young Nak Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles (“Young Nak Church”) is seeking a full time ordained Associate Pastor (or part time for pastor currently enrolled in accredited theological seminary for  M.Div.) for Young Adult Ministry at our church located in Los Angeles, California.  

Must have a good understanding of young adults of Korean immigrant church. Fluent in Korean and English is most helpful. 

As an Ordained Associate Pastor, you will be responsible for the following job duties:

• Prepare and give sermons based on scriptures from the Bible and according to the tenets of our denomination to members of the congregation at various bible study meetings, special services, gatherings, or events;

• Provide leadership, vision, direction, motivation, inspiration and training to build and maintain relationships that enhance the church’s ability to deliver ministry and resources to the congregation;

• Counsel individuals or groups during counseling sessions in the Christian way of life and spiritual growth with God, in hopes of further enhancing their lives mentally and physically;

• Coordinate, preside over, and/or participate in various meetings with the Senior Pastor and/or other clergy or staff members to discuss various religious or administrative issues and topics;

• Lead discipleship training sessions and/or bible study meetings of small groups to enhance congregation members’ spiritual growth;

• Prepare, lead and participate in prayer during Sunday Worship service and prayer meetings.
