English Ministry (EM) Pastor (Full-time)   

Virginia Presbyterian Church, Alexandria, VA, an active, growing congregation under the Korean Presbyterian Church in America (KPCA), is seeking a full-time English Ministry (EM) Pastor. 

We are looking for a spiritually mature leader to shepherd our English-speaking congregation of approximately 50 members, providing biblical preaching, pastoral care, and leadership development in close collaboration with the Session to foster spiritual growth and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Worship & Preaching: Plan and lead weekly Sunday English/Joint worship services, delivering Bible-centered, relevant sermons. Coordinate worship liturgy and teaching in collaboration with the Youth Pastor and Senior Pastor.
• Shepherding & Counseling: Provide pastoral care, biblical counseling, and visitation to EM members and families, fostering a nurturing community.
• Discipleship & Small Groups: Lead and develop weekly Bible studies and small groups aimed at strengthening personal relationships with God for young adults and working professionals.
• Leadership Development: Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders (praise team, small group leaders, teachers) to build a sustainable ministry structure.
• Strategic Planning & Vision: Align EM programs (retreats, missions, community service) with the overall church vision, working closely with the KM staff to promote a “one church” model.
• Administration & Communication: Oversee EM administrative duties, including maintaining web content, social media channels (Facebook/Instagram), and event planning.
• Staff Collaboration: Actively participate in weekly staff meetings with the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastors (KM/Youth/Children).

Qualifications

• Education: A Master of Divinity (M.Div) from an accredited seminary is preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of pastoral experience, preferably in a multi-cultural, English-speaking ministry context. 
• Spiritual Maturity: A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a lifestyle congruent with biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
• Skills: Strong preaching/teaching abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in digital communication/social media platforms.
• Cultural Competency: Ability to shepherd a diverse, multi-ethnic congregation and work collaboratively with Korean-speaking pastoral leadership.
