A New Day • Stepping onto that path

사라진 달력 위 숫자

오늘 아침 수북이 쌓여있다

지나온 길에 그림자는 늘 흔적으로 남는다

그 숫자 사이에 길이 있다

한 걸음씩 딛던 길을 만들고

다시 뒤돌아 갈 수 없는 그 길 앞으로

끝이 보이지 않는 다면 아직 갈길 멀다

한 걸음만 더 하루만 더 잇는 세월

다시 조각해야할 아침이다

여전히 태양은 동쪽 하늘 밑에서 하루를 시작하고

서쪽 하늘 밑으로 숨을 것이다

가만히 하루를 열어놓아도

복사된 어제와 같은 오늘은 없다

더딘 걸음이라도 놓쳐서는 안 될 것을

다시 채워야 할 언제나 새로운,

그 길에 들어서다

여호와께 감사하라

그는 선하시며 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다

시편 136:1

Give thanks to the LORD,

for he is good.

His love endures forever.

[A New Day]

Stepping onto that path

Numbers from vanished calendars

pile up this morning.

Shadows always leave traces

on the paths we’ve traveled.

Between those numbers lies a road.

Step by step, it is created,

leading forward, never to be retraced.

If the end is still out of sight,

then there is still a long way to go.

One more step, one more day—

the years continue to connect.

It is another morning to carve anew.

The sun still rises beneath the eastern sky,

only to hide beneath the western horizon.

Even if the day quietly opens,

today is never a replica of yesterday.

No matter how slow the steps,

we must not lose what truly matters.

Always new, always in need of filling,

we step onto that path once more.
