오렌지카운티에 소재한 오렌지중앙교회(원로목사 허경삼, 담임목사 유원선)가 2025년 장학생을 모집합니다.

지난 2010년부터 꾸준히 장학사역을 감당해온 오렌지중앙교회는 올해도 총 12명의 학생을 선발해 각 1,000불씩 장학금을 전달할 예정입니다.

올해로 창립 46주년을 맞은 오렌지중앙교회(미주성결교회)는 2010년 이후 지금까지 130여명의 학생들에게 총 14만 달러 가량의 장학금을 전달했습니다.

본 장학사역은 다음 세대를 이끌어갈 크리스천 리더를 세우고, 믿음으로 삶을 개척해가는 청년들을 응원하는 목적으로 진행되고 있으며, 소천하신 故 원순애 권사의 섬김이 그 씨앗이 되었습니다.

교회에서는 적은 재정이지만 어려운 시기를 살아가는 청년들에게 위로와 격려가 되기를 원하는 마음으로 기도하며 매해 이 사역을 감당하고 있습니다.

미국에 소재한 2~4년제 대학을 다니는 일반 전공자 혹은 신학 대학원에서 M.div 과정을 하고 있는 신학생이 신청할 수 있으며, 교회에서 구성한 7명의 장학 위원회(위원장 김종곤 장로)에서 심사하여 장학생을 선정합니다.

제출 서류:

- 장학금 신청서(구글폼/교회홈페이지 방문)

- 신앙 간증과 장래 희망을 포함한 자기소개서(1~2장/한글 또는 영어로)

- 추천서 2부(목회자추천서, 교수추천서)

- 성적증명서이며

신청 및 서류 제출: 7/20(주일)까지

The Orange Korean Evangelical Church (Pastor Emeritus, Kyungsam Huh/Senior Pastor, Wonsun Ryu) in Westminster, Orange County, is now accepting applications for the 2025 scholarship program.

OKEC has been faithfully administering its scholarship ministry since 2010. This year, we will select 12 students to receive $1,000 scholarships each.

Celebrating its 46th anniversary this year, OKEC (Korean Evangelical Church of America) has awarded approximately $140,000 in scholarships to 130 students since 2010.

This scholarship ministry was established to nurture Christian leaders for the next generation and to support young adults who are pioneering their lives through faith. The program was founded in memory of the late Deaconess Won Sun-ae, whose heart for serving others became the seed for this ministry.

Although the financial support may seem modest, our church carries out this ministry each year with prayer, hoping to provide comfort and encouragement to young people navigating these challenging times.

Eligibility Requirements:

- Full-time undergraduate students attending 2-4 year U.S. colleges (all majors)

- Full-time graduate students currently pursuing an M.Div degree

Scholarship recipients are selected through a comprehensive review process conducted by a 7-member scholarship committee chaired by Elder Chongkon Kim.

 Required Documents:

- Scholarship application (Google Form/Visit OKEC Homepage, www.orangechurch.org.)

- Personal statement including testimony of faith and career goals (1-2 pages, Korean or English)

- Two recommendation letters (one from a pastor, one from a professor) 

- Transcript
