2025년 킴보장학생 선발 안내 사항입니다

신청서 배부 및 접수: 4/25/25(금) ~ 6/30/25(월)

총 213명 선발 (총 $ 532,500.00장학금 수여)

<지역별 선발 인원 안내>

LA 121명 / 뉴욕 20명 / 아틀란타 25명 / 샌프란시스코 17명 / 시카고 10명 /워싱턴 D.C 15명 / 덴버 5명

장학금: $2,500 /1인당

서류 접수 마감: 2025년 6월 30일(월)

장학생 발표: 2025년7월25일(금) – 중앙일보 지면 및 웹사이트 참조

장학금 수여식 예정: 2025년8월1일(금) – (사정에 따라 변경 될 수 있습니다)

지원자격: 2025년 가을 대학입학 예정자 또는 대학 재학생

(대학 재학생은 현재 다니고 있는 학교를 기준으로 해당지역에 지원해야 하며, 2025년 대학입학 예정자는 현재 재학중인 하이스쿨이 있는 해당지역에 지원해야 합니다.)

이전 킴보 장학금 수혜자 및 대학원생은 신청 자격이 없습니다.

< 제출서류 >

1) 소정 양식의 신청서

2) 영문으로 된 자기 소개 에세이 (제목: My Dream or My Vision)

3) 추천서(지도교수, 교사, 성직자, 단체장 등) – 추천서는 이멜로도 접수 가능

4) 성적증명서 1부 – 파일에 첨부 하거나 혹은 학교에서 이멜 발송 가능

5) 2024년도 부모 세금 보고서 사본 1부 (전체 페이지 Copy )

6) 커뮤니티 봉사활동 및 인턴 내역 리스트 (별지에 리스트를 작성하고 근거자료 사본 첨부)

7) 각종 수상경력 리스트 (근거자료 사본 첨부)

8) 2025년 하이스쿨 졸업 예정자는 College Admission Letter를 꼭 첨부 해야 함

* 추천서는 따로 이메일로 보내셔도 되며, 마감일까지 모든 서류가 해당 지역에 도착해야 합니다.

* 추천서를 제외한 모든 제출 서류는 반드시 우편으로 보내셔야 하며, 6월30일까지 도착해야 합니다

(이메일 접수는 받지 않으며 서류를 해당 지역에 직접 갖다 제출하셔도 됩니다)

2025 KIMBO Scholarship guideline

Date: 4/25/25(Friday) ~ 6/30/25(Monday)

Selects 213 students (nationwide)

Scholarship: $2,500 / per student

Awards Total: $532,500.00

Los Angeles 121 students/ New York 20 students/ Atlanta 25 students/ San Francisco 17 students/ Washington D.C, 15 students/ Chicago, 10 students/ Denver, 5 students     

Announcement Date: Friday, July 25, 2025

Awards Ceremony: Friday, August 1, 2025 (possible to change)

Qualification: 2025 fall college entering students or college-entered students

Students should apply to a certain area of Korea Daily where the college they are currently attending.

2025 fall college entering students should apply to the area where the high school is located.

* Past KIMBO Scholarship recipients and graduate school students do not qualify.

1) Application

2) Self-Introduction Essay ( My Dream or My Vision )  

3) Letter of Recommendation (Professor, Teacher, clergy, etc) – possible to send e-mail

4) Academic transcript 

5) 2024 Parents’ Tax Report

6) Community Volunteer & Internship List (attach evidence)

7) Any award-winning carrier List (attach evidence)

8) 2025 High school graduating students must attach a College Admission letter 

* Recommendation letter can be sent separately by e-mail, but should arrive at Korea Daily before the end date

* All the other Documents should be submitted by mail (not e-mail)
