English Ministry Pastor - Korean Hope Church of San Diego 

Position: Youth & EM Pastor (Part Time with the option for Half Time or Full Time)

Location: Korean Hope Church of San Diego (4665 Mercury St. San Diego, CA 92111)

About Us:

Korean Hope Church of San Diego is a Korean American church located in San Diego, CA. We are ready to invite a pastor to our team to disciple our youth students into spiritual maturity.

Qualifications:

• A Master of Divinity (M.Div) or equivalent degree, or currently pursuing one.

• A genuine passion for mentoring and fostering spiritual maturity in middle, high school and Colleage Students  

• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:

• In-Person Commitments:

  • Sundays: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Fridays: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Sunday Responsibilities:

  • Organize and lead worship services for a group of 20-25 students from 7th to 12th grade (Youth) and Colleage above (EM) 

  • Deliver sermons and coordinate small group discussions with the assistance of volunteers.

• Friday Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct various activities such as Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars, fellowship activities, and other events aimed at promoting spiritual growth and community among students.

• Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead a youth retreat once a year (winter or summer).

  • Use time outside of the designated in-person commitments to prepare sermons, Bible studies, and other activities, ensuring that ministry events are well-organized and impactful.

Compensation:

• $1,800 – $2,000 per month (part time), based on experience.

• Option for half-time or full-time position, subject to applicable skills.
