Did you know that Shepherd has been called “the most racially diverse church in L.A.”? It has always been our pastor’s heart that the church would reflect Revelation 7:9, which says that in Heaven, there will be “a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages…” That’s why at Shepherd, we aim to love and God and love all people — as Jesus did so well (Matthew 22:36-40).
We invite you to come and experience our dynamic and Spirit-filled worship services, enriching children’s and youth programs, and practical Biblical teaching that will help you face the joys and challenges of life. 쉐퍼드교회(Shepherd Church), Porter Ranch, CA
더들리 러더포드(Dudley Rutherford)는 캘리포니아 로스앤젤레스 포터 랜치(Porter Ranch)에 있는 쉐퍼드교회(Shepherd Church)의 담임 목사입니다. 이 교회는 매주 예배에 8,000명이 참석하는 초교파 메가쳐치입니다.

러더포드의 할아버지, 아버지, 삼촌 및 형제 및 사돈들까지 모두 설교자입니다. 그는 미주리 주 조플린에 있는 오자크크리스천칼리지(Ozark Christian College)에서 교회성장학으로 학사 학위를 받았습니다. 그는 캘리포니아 플러턴에 있는 퍼시픽크리스천칼리지(Pacific Christian College, 현재는 Hope International University)에서 석사 학위를 받았습니다. 그는 활발한 국제전도대회 연사이며 북미기독교연맹(North American Christian Convention)의 부회장이었습니다. 그는 여러 프로 스포츠 팀에서도 설교했는데, 월드시리즈 대회 때 자주 초청을 받는 주요 설교자였습니다.

러더포드는 1987년 그라나다 힐스(Granada Hills)에 있는 힐크레스트교회(Hillcrest Christian Church)의 목사가 되었습니다. 이 교회는 350명에서 1,000명으로 증가했습니다. 1995년 이 교회는 힐스쉐퍼드침례교회(Baptist Shepherd of the Hills)와 연합, 현재 포터 랜치(Porter Ranch)에 있는 쉐퍼드교회가 되었고 그는 이 교회의 담임목사가 되었습니다. 그 이후로 교회는 주말마다 21개의 다른 장소에서 예배를 드리는 10,000명 이상의 교인을 지닌 초대형교회로 성장했고, 2개의 지교회와 4개의 위성 캠퍼스가 있습니다.
